FALCON FISHING REPORT

October- The lake level is at 289.75 ft. and still slowly rising.  The water temperature is now at 78 degrees.  With all the water flowing down the river from Amistad, there are a lot of logs and debris in the main channel up to marker 12.  If you fish north end of the lake and Salado river keep an eye out for the floating logs.  Water temperature is slowly cooling making fish more active.  Fish are being caught on some top water baits early, but spinnerbaits are working after the top water bite slows down.  Also 10" worms in plum, purple, and Okochobee craw colors are catching some great fish in the 10 lb. range.  Fish are scattered, but once you locate them,  you can really do good.  Be particularly curious around old huisache trees with seed bean around them.  Flip bushes in about 8 to 10 ft. of water with the Lake Fork hyper worm. Also try swimming it through cover.  This is the time to come down to Falcon.  The weather is getting cooler and the fishing action hot!!!!!  See you soon.  Stop by the store for more fishing tips or just to say hello  Thanks!!!
